Gabby Meme, postpartum doula, afterbirth care for Bucks County families

Hello!

I’m Gabby, a BADT certified postpartum doula. From a young age, I was deeply fascinated by birth, postpartum, and all things babies. Through my teens and early twenties, I worked as a babysitter and nanny, harnessing my natural intuition and passion for family care. Eventually, I realized how much I adore nurturing not only children, but also their hardworking parents. When the families I cared for had new babies, my instinct was always to cook nutritious meals and deliver them to the door, check in with the birthing people and their recovery, and ensure the wellness of partners and any older siblings.  So, when I began expanding my knowledge on birth workers and the powerful people dedicating their humility and compassion to this cause, I knew I needed to be a part of it.

As a doula, I offer inclusive care for all postpartum people, focusing on postpartum nutrition through homemade meals (I love to cook, it’s my love language!). In addition to providing physical nourishment, I take on the all important roles of caretaker, educator, and—most importantly—trusting friend to guide families through the transition to parenthood. With my decade long background in childcare, l believe my skillset shines when communicating with parents and ensuring the home is running comfortably and happily while I care for their children.

My mission for A Nourishing Hand is to offer affirming, inclusive, and equitable care for all birthing bodies. I strive to evolve my practice of cultural humility so that I can best serve the birthing people in my community. It is my hope that the postpartum care I provide will leave you feeling supported in every part of who you are and what matters to you most.
